Well we decided after the world championships that we would drive out to Ottawa to train with the rest of the team and head coach Michal Staniszewski. It only took three days of driving to get out here but i must say it was well worth the drive. Beautiful weather so far and great training. We head down to North Carolina on Tuesday for the first of two fall training camps down there. We have been training really hard, working out three, sometimes four times a day. It seems to have taken a toll on my already fragile shoulder though so i have been taking off the past two days from training just riding the bike and running. I went into to see the Sports Doctor today and have a HD Ultrasound booked for the day we get back from Charlotte, we are going to try and get some image of the shoulder and see what is actually wrong. Hopefully with some time in the gym to strengthen it and keep working with the sprint teams physio to try and stay away from the operation table as it might put a huge damper on the shot of an Olympic spot.
Other than a small set back we are enjoying the great training partners, coaching and weather here in Ottawa. We are again staying with our friends Rene and Melanie along with their three dogs until Christmas and are loving the great food and laughs. Thanks to them for giving us a great place to stay yet again!
Until next time!
Alberta we will see you in December!
